Special mechanical seals with unique arrangement

KJI Hydro's Triple Sealing System provides one of the most reliable sealing systems in the industry. The sealing system consists of double mechanical seals or tandem seals having silicon carbide faces that operate independently in an oil bath. In addition, the lower mechanical seal is protected against contamination by an additional lip seal located directly behind the impeller.

Unique cable entry design

KJI Hydro's cable entry design features a one-piece outer jacket that is molded to the cable jacket. This, in conjunction with the compression grommet and anti-wicking block, provides a triple sealing system that ensures leak free operation.

ACC (Anti Cavitation Cone)

Patented ACC installed just beneath the suction bowl prevents cavitation and minimizes noise and vibration. ACC can also prevent vortexing and liquid separation phenomenon.

High efficiency motor

Heavy duty, high efficiency, NEMA Design B, Class H insulation is standard. IP 68 protection, air filled squirrel cage induction motor with thermal protection imbedded in each phase of windings, assures trouble free and low cost operation. Explosion-proof version is standard.
