The KIPP
is designed for transferring large volumes of fluid laterally through
the wall of two adjacent basins. Moving the fluid laterally from one tank
or basin to another can be done much more efficiently and at significantly
lower cost than in conventional installations. Installation is simple;
the pump is lowered on guide rails to connect with the discharge connection
as pictured below.
The KIPP
can be very effectively applied in wastewater treatment plants where biological
nutrient removal through re-circulation is becoming quite common, as well
as in industrial applications requiring large volumes of fluid to be moved
at low head.
